The Real Club de Golf Campoamor, built on a former country estate and surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside, was designed to take advantage of the unusual terrain of the area.

Its 18 holes run through two connected valleys surrounded by low, gently undulating ridges that protect it from the wind and create a special microclimate. From the terrace bar area there are spectacular views of the Mar Menor and La Manga strip. Campoamor also provides excellent sporting facilities that are used by various league football teams.

Situated 58 kilometres from Alicante on the N-332. It is located in a flat valley between mountains, and the layout of the course alternates between long holes and short ones.

The most difficult factor lies in the characteristic layout of the greens with their attractive and complicated slopes. It is not excessively difficult so players of all levels will enjoy it.

Internationally renowned golf architect Dave Thomas designed Roda Golf and as you would expect the construction specifications are to the highest standards.

He is rightly proud of his creation and has cleverly shaped the previously flat landscape into an interesting and undulating golfing terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf. The design incorporates 3 strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping. There is a small sun terrace overlooking the 16th and 18th greens. This is a walkable course that we are sure you will enjoy playing.

Roda Golf has already hosted P.G.A. events.

Course Name: North Holes: 18 Metres: 5753
The North course is shorter and demands more accuracy off the tee. Several ravines and six lakes make this course a totally different from the South. Slightly hillier, has well-contoured greens. Robert Dean Putman designed this course.

Course Name: South Holes: 18 Metres: 6361
The South Course, was originally designed by Robert Dean Putman, and remodelled in 1993 by the Arnold Palmer Company, is quite flat with generous fairways, the main difficulty being the length and the ten artificial lakes that define the layout. The greens are huge and have little trouble, but it is perhaps this apparent simplicity that makes them tough.

Course Name: West Holes: 18 Metres: 5971
The West course is newer and requires maximum ball control, distance becoming only secondary. It is a course of two halves, where most of the ground must be made on the first nine. The second half, with its tree-lined fairways is very hilly and will demand all a player can give.

Alenda Golf was created in 1997 and offers a splendid 18 hole golf course, Par 72. It is a mountain course overlooking the sea. The first 9 holes are entertaining and easier to play, with wide fairways which help tee shots limited by pines, carob trees and palm trees. The second 9 holes require a higher degree of concentration being more technical and precision is more important than distance.

The clubhouse is an old restored farmhouse. A buggy is recommended for this course

Facilities: Practice green, café and restaurant.

Alicante golf has amazing backdrops of scenery, with a combination of rugged mountains, the blue Mediterranean and the skyscraper skyline of Alicante City. It was designed by Seve Ballesteros.

The course is unique; it has 6 par 3’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 5’s. There are also a large number of holes with water. In general the course is treeless and very flat but a super exhilarating test in golf. Buggies are essential. The 18th green was re-designed in 2005 and is now a dramatic finish over water. One of the best course in the area and highly recommended by España Golf Tours.

Facilities: Practice ground, driving range, pro shop, A la carte restaurant, bar, café, children’s playground.

El Plantio is the exception to the rule in the region purely because it is designed in an area of natural conservation (formerly desert like terrain). It is now an oasis of lush green fairways with a variety of palm, fig and cork trees that make it an excellent environment to play in.

There are only 4 holes that would be considered hilly from where there are superb views inland to Murcia and north to Alicante.

Facilities: Practice green, driving range, pro shop, bar, a la carte restaurant, children’s playground.

This new Dave Thomas designed course opened 18 months ago. A spectacular 18 hole layout that may well become the new La Manga in years to come. A rival to its illustrious neighbour with plans for a second course within the next 2-3 years.

The course is superb and designed to be a top championship test that will hold major events in the future. There are 4-5 holes with big water features, there are lots of elevated tee positions although it is rarely hilly from fairway to green. What makes it difficult are the raised and large greens that are heavily bunkered with deep link style traps. All holes have wonderful panoramas of the surrounding mountains and plains, the views take your breath away. A big course which will no doubt be many peoples favourite quickly – play it now before other golf companies and golfers discover it.

Facilities: Pro shop, outdoor bar/café.

Mosa Trajectum is an 18 hole course that opened in 2005. The course is owned by Dutch proprietors and has been laid out over mainly flat terrain but has a great mountain backdrop. Its main features are the rocks which flank most fairways, giving an Arizona feel to the course, narrow fairways and small greens add to the difficulty. Well worth a game as a change to the area’s other courses.

Facilities: Pro shop, practice green, driving range, a la carte restaurant, bar.
